Membership at Jefferson Lodge No. 15 is open to men of age 18 and older who meet the qualifications and standards of character and intention, and who believe in a Supreme Being. Men of all ethnic and religious backgrounds are welcome.
A candidate must contact a Masonic Lodge for consideration of obtaining membership. It will be necessary to meet with one or more brothers from Jefferson Lodge so they can get to know you and answer any questions you may have about Freemasonry. This meeting is important because these brothers will likely be the signers of your petition should you still wish to pursue membership in our Lodge. After meeting with these brethren and you decide to petition for membership, you can either complete the petition at that time or complete it at home and send it to the Secretary. There is a $10.00 fee associated with submitting your petition.
Your completed petition will be read at the next monthly Communication meeting and an Investigating Committee will be appointed. They will report back to lodge at the next monthly Communication with the results of their visit with you. If they find in favor of recommending you for the ballot, you will be voted on by the brothers in attendance and if favorable, you will be contacted regarding the date of the conferral of your first degree.
One of Freemasonry’s customs is not to solicit members – men must seek membership on their own initiative. Anyone is welcome to request information about Jefferson Lodge.
If you are interested in applying for membership to our lodge, now is a good time to start. Please contact our secretary to schedule a visit during an event, or request more information. Thank you in advance for your interest in Freemasonry and membership in Jefferson Lodge.
